About Us

Our Background

EV Advisory Group, LLC (also referred to as “EVA Group”) is a consulting firm dedicated to the continued development and adoption of electric commercial vehicles. The founder of EVA Group, Tony Fairweather, previously founded and sold SEA Electric to Exro Technologies, a business specializing in electric power-systems for commercial vehicles. We provide a range of consulting services, specifically tailored to the electric commercial vehicle industry. EVA Group provide support for its clients through every stage of electric commercial-vehicle deployment, scaling, aftersales support, incentives and compliance.

Who We Are

Tony Fairweather owns and operates EVA Group. Tony is a seasoned leader with a robust background in the electric automotive technology sector. Previously, he founded and led SEA Electric, which developed SEA-Drive™ power-system technology and merged with Extro Technologies for $300 million in April 2024. He previously served as Chairman of Patico Automotive, managing import and distribution rights for commercial vehicle brands in the Pacific region, and as a Non-Executive Director at OldView. His extensive experience includes roles at TNT Express, where he significantly increased productivity and revenue, and at Mercuri Urval, where he led performance improvements. Tony holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, a Master in Business and an MBA (International Business) from Swinburne University of Technology.

He is joined by Lizen Yumang, a finance, incentive and compliance expert with more than 20 years of experience. Previously a consultant at Zero Emission Solutions, Lizen has also held key roles at Wrightspeed, Inc. and SEA Electric. Her career spans positions at KKR & Co. Inc., Manhattan Country Club, and Intuit, among others. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Managerial Economics from UCLA.

Our Mission

EV Advisory Group was established to be a conduit between the internal combustion commercial vehicle industry and the burgeoning electric commercial vehicle industry. 

As with the transition to the internal combustion engine more than 100 years ago, a transition of this magnitude creates many unique factors that require expertise, support, guidance and strategy to navigate successfully and profitably.  EVA Group provides the experience and knowledge base to our clients to assure the efficient and successful transition.
